Such lamps are called energy saving or energy saving bulbs, if broken we are exposed to serious danger. If this happens, you leave the room, at least for 15 minutes and avoid walking on broken glass because they contain mercury which is poisonous and cause headache, disorientation, imbalance and various health problems when inhaled. Many people with allergies are causing problems skin and other serious ailments just touching the substance or by breathing. Do not clean the remains of the broken lamp in the vacuum, since contamination would disperse to other parts of the house as soon as you use it again. The lamps must be cleaned by broom and be kept in a sealed bag and then thrown in the trash for hazardous materials, using rubber gloves to protect themselves from contact with the glass and mercury.
