A Roof for my Country (UTPMP) is an American born in Chile in 1997, after a group of university students supported by Felipe Berrios SJ felt the need to denounce the extreme poverty in which millions of people in settlements from the emergency housing and implementation of plans for social empowerment.

Thus arises the need to convene the entire society, revealing the lack of opportunities and living conditions more than 200 million Latin Americans represent an injustice that involves and engages us all.

UTPMP Since 2001 began to expand in Latin America and today is already present in 12 countries. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay are joined by the work of thousands of volunteers and communities struggling for a more just.

In Colombia, UTPMPC is working since 2002, fighting a daily battle against poverty, against a reality that can not wait and, on the contrary, eats away at us every day more and more.

Through this space we want to appeal to all young people so that together we see that although we have always been told that 'we are the country's future 'really THIS CONTINENT WE and are building the country, building dreams, stories and opportunities.

So now you know, the future is ours ... FAULTS AND ONLY YOU!
